David Pak, assistant director of human resources, summarized the ratifications and said the agreements cover units representing extra‑help employees, SHAPE supervisors, operating engineers and management. He noted a minor typographical error in a cafeteria-plan section that would be corrected in final drafting and recommended the board delegate authority to the director of human resources to execute final MOUs and make non‑substantive edits.
After public comment from union representatives who raised concerns about unpaid health premium withholdings and equitable treatment across units, the board moved and seconded approval and the clerk recorded a 4‑0 vote to adopt the tentative agreements for the listed units through Sept. 30, 2028.
