A presenter representing Found It told the board: "We started 8 years ago in Suisun, right in your backyard...we started with 8 members, and now we have grown to over 40," and invited board members and the public to an open house on April 18. The speaker emphasized that the center is hosted and run by adults with disabilities and encouraged supervisors and employers to engage, train, and employ people with autism.
The board voted 4-0 to adopt the proclamation. The presentation highlighted local nonprofit efforts to expand inclusive community spaces and the continuing need for services and employment pathways for adults with developmental disabilities.
