The Solano County Board of Supervisors adopted proposed departmental user fee schedules for fiscal year 2026–27, updating fees codified in chapters 2.4 and 11 of the Solano County Code and setting an effective date of 07/01/2026. The hearing continued from April 14 and concluded at this meeting, and the board approved the package by a 4–0 vote.
Staff explained that the fees are "charged to recover some or all of the cost of providing a service," that methodology is based on productive hourly rates and unit times verified by the auditor-controller, and that some fees are capped by statute and therefore do not recover full cost. Attachments to the staff report summarize departmental revenue projections and note some schedules showing decreases alongside increases; staff emphasized many amounts are estimates that depend on demand. The motion to adopt was moved on the floor and carried 4–0; no public speakers registered on the continued hearing.
