Iroquois County Board Member Donna Crow told the ETSB on March 3 that the Police, Fire and EMS dispatch contracts have been sent following the county board meeting. Crow said a proposal in the Finance Committee to add another telecommunicator did not pass and that members suggested including the position in the fiscal year 2027 budget discussion, which is scheduled to begin in June.
The comment came during the public comment portion of the ETSB meeting; no formal action on hiring was taken during the ETSB meeting itself. The transcript records Crow's statement verbatim: "Iroquois County Board Member Donna Crow advised that the Police, Fire, and EMS dispatch contracts have been sent after the last Iroquois County Board meeting."
