The Board of Supervisors on April 7 adopted a resolution accepting a tentative agreement between Solano County and Teamsters Local 856 representing correctional supervisors (Unit 14).
Nyjah Edwards, the county's human resources director, briefed the board that Unit 14 had ratified a successor memorandum of understanding for the term April 7, 2026 through October 28, 2028 and that the tentative agreement includes pay‑parity side letters and a lump-sum cash offer consistent with other closed units.
Edwards recommended that the board approve the successor MOU and delegate authority to the county administrator or director of human resources to execute the final memorandum and any necessary technical adjustments. The board approved the item by a recorded vote (ordered by a vote of 3–0 with two supervisors excused).
