At a special session on Aug. 8, 2025, the Redfield City Council adopted its agenda and voted to appoint the Aberdeen Insider as the city’s official newspaper before adjourning at 5:01 p.m.
The Redfield City Council met in special session at 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2025, convening via teleconference and at City Hall. Council President Jessi Lewis presided; members Joe Morrissette, Matthew Weller, Amy Akin, Brent Derscheid, Mike Siebrecht and Dana Lewis were recorded as present. Mayor Frank Schwartz and Keith Gall were listed as absent. Adam L. Hansen served as finance officer and recorder.
During the brief meeting the council carried a motion by Brent Derscheid, seconded by Amy Akin, to adopt the agenda. Later, Mike Siebrecht moved and Akin seconded a motion to appoint the Aberdeen Insider as the official newspaper of the City of Redfield; the motion carried. With no further business, the council adjourned at 5:01 p.m.
