The Town of Trappe Council held a workshop Feb. 12 to review the Fiscal Year 2025–26 budget and to provide direction to staff on items to refine for the next workshop. Commissioner Schmidt called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm; council members Jeremy Newnam, Michael Sullivan, Rose Potter and Walter Chase were recorded present, along with Town Administrator Erin Braband.
Council members discussed changes and additions they want addressed for the next budget workshop; the council paused the budget conversation while representatives from Livingston Septic presented on a separate sewer‑lining matter and resumed budget work after the contractor left. The council scheduled the next budget workshop for March 18 at 4:00 pm. With no further business, Commissioner Jeremy Newnam moved to close the workshop at 3:45 pm; Commissioner Michael Sullivan seconded and the motion was unanimously approved by the commissioners present.
