The Council also approved submitting a $284,057.28 FY27 Court Security Officer Support Grant application through the Maryland Administrative Office of the Courts to fund overtime for Court Security Officers to meet minimum standards during court proceedings; the grant period is Sept. 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 and requires no match. Both approvals were by unanimous recorded vote of members present (4-0, Nichols absent).
