Roy Geiser of audit firm UHY, LLP presented the Town's Fiscal Year 2023–24 audit and reported that the General Fund is "in good standings," but warned that the Enterprise Fund is "operating in the negative." He urged the Council "to consider an increase in water and sewer rates" because the town faces large infrastructure projects that are expected to add debt.
Town Administrator Erin Braband filed the audit with the Town records and said staff will work with councilmembers on next steps. The auditor's recommendation focused on the Enterprise Fund's shortfall tied to planned capital projects, and the council did not take immediate action but noted the matter for future budget and rate discussions.
