The J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 Board of Education approved a broad consent agenda at its Dec. 11 meeting that included payroll, bills, student-discipline decisions, personnel items, travel and contract authorizations. The minutes record Education payroll of $8,600,312.14, Building payroll of $1,430,042.07 and Transportation payroll of $2,092.50; bills for payment included $1,940,722.65 and $50,716.46 scheduled for Dec. 12, 2024.
The consent agenda also recorded student-discipline outcomes: multiple expulsions held in abeyance pending enrollment and participation in the Morton Alternative School (case numbers 460731, 471610, 470087, 452240 and 480105), and continued placements or re-engagement requirements for cases 481354 and 471377 (including restitution in one matter). The board approved vendor and contract items on the consent agenda, including a Workers’ Compensation Agreement and a Veregy HVAC design contract for Morton West, pending final legal review.
