Richmond Planning Commission elects Brubaker chair, Benitez vice chair and Timmons secretary

The Planning Commission selected new leadership for the coming term. In nominations and votes conducted during the Aug. 6 meeting, commissioners elected Bruce Brubaker to serve as chair starting at the commission's next meeting in September. Commissioner Benitez was elected vice chair and Commissioner Timmons was elected secretary.
Staff read the secretary's responsibilities from the bylaws, noting the secretary should be assisted by the planning director in maintaining minutes and attendance records and should provide an attendance report in January and July each year. The chair congratulated the newly elected officers and confirmed the new chair's role will begin at the next meeting.
