Board approves landscape-buffer variance for commercial property, requires landscape plan

Applicant representative Charles McKay said the existing slab and grade constraints make the layout necessary and offered to submit a landscape plan; staff emphasized that trees and shrubs could be relocated into side or front green spaces or islands and that an updated plan will be required as part of the building-permit process. The motion to approve the variance with those landscaping conditions carried by unanimous roll call among present voters.
