The board voted to increase the 2026 seasonal vendor fee for non-food vendors at Music in the Park events from $50 to $250. Council members said the move was intended to encourage vendor commitment and regular attendance rather than raise revenue: “We really want these vendors to commit to coming,” one member said, and another noted, “Most towns are charging these vendors $300 for the season.”
Board members also cautioned that higher fees could reduce the number of vendors in some weeks; the chair said this would be a trial and the town would monitor whether larger fees affect participation and event success.
