The town applied Oct. 1 for the New York State PPC Adirondack Park Community Smart Growth Grant, a $125,000 request that would fund Hague Town Park improvements recommended by the approved 2022 master plan.
Chair also reported the Supervisor mailed a request to Fort Ticonderoga’s president and CEO seeking free admission for Hague residents; the fort responded and both letters are filed with the town clerk. In separate communications the town received an AARP request to use the community room for tax-preparation services and the Hague Food Pantry announced Thanksgiving turkey orders (order deadline Nov. 14, pickup Nov. 26 from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.). "If you or someone you know could use a little extra help this holiday season, we would love to make sure your table is full," the chair said when noting pantry services and contact information were available.
Amanda Peterson, the Hague Food Pantry coordinator, addressed the meeting during public comment and said the pantry currently has an abundance of fresh fruit and invited residents to pick up items at the community center when it is open.
