Trappe Council approves wastewater repairs and ARPA-funded sewer lining scope

Water Superintendent Shawn Lane presented two quotes to repair the ditch and entrance at the wastewater treatment plant: Good Life Property Management for $8,975.00 and Talbot Land Management for $6,875.00. Commissioner Jeremy Newnam moved to accept the Talbot Land Management quote for $6,875.00; Commissioner Walter Chase seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Administrator Erin Braband then presented the scope of services from Livingston Septic for the ARPA-funded sewer main lining project. The scope calls for installing 1,016 feet of 8-inch fiberglass pipe from manhole 3 to manhole 7 and reinstating 22 laterals at a cost of $73,992.00; the Council had previously allocated $75,000 for the project. Commissioner Rose Potter moved to approve Livingston Septic’s scope of services; Commissioner Newnam seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
Council instruction and the motions were recorded in the minutes as formal approvals; no dissent or conditions on the awards were recorded during the meeting.
