Summary
Resident Janice Berry reported maintenance issues in Dolan Park restrooms and offered to paint; she also asked whether the city could request a turn lane at West Pearl and State Street (U.S. 67) because the signal seems to change too quickly. Resident Janice Berry told the council she inspected the Dolan Park restrooms and reported the lock on the middle stall does not work and that a stall frame near the sink appears misaligned, making the door difficult to open. She said the restrooms have been cleaned since last season and that the toilets and hot and cold faucets are working; she offered to paint the bathrooms.
Berry also asked who is responsible for stoplights on West Pearl Street and whether a turn lane could be added at West Pearl and State Street (U.S. 67), saying the light seems to change too quickly. Director of Public Works Bob Manns said he would report her concern and suggestion to the Illinois Department of Transportation, which controls signal operation on that route.
