Acting Chair Montos Verkertsis opened the meeting and introduced the first agenda item: a six-month extension request for a previously issued parking-setback variance for a mixed‑use development on Beekman Street.
Attorney Lisonbee Fouser, appearing for the applicant, told the board, "This is a 6 month extension request relative to the mixed use development approved along Beekman Street." She said the project team had appeared before the Planning Board the prior week and had already received a six-month extension from that board while it works to complete outstanding conditions of approval with outside agencies. "We are just working through those conditions," Fouser said, and specifically named the New York State Department of Transportation and the Dutchess County Department of Health as agencies with outstanding approvals.
Board members asked no substantive questions. A motion to grant the extension was made and seconded; the board recorded a unanimous vote in favor and the acting chair signed the paperwork to finalize the extension.
The board noted that any further variance needs would return to the Zoning Board of Appeals for review. No public comment was opened for this item because the matter was a procedural extension.
