Residents raise tree-care and communication concerns at La Pine Planning Commission meeting

During the public-comment period, resident Tori McGee asked Planning staff about requirements for care and upkeep of trees retained under the tree-retention code. Christina Wehman, speaking via Zoom, commented on the new subdivision application procedures and asked what the best method would be for communications between the City and residents.

Staff acknowledged the comments; Vickers said the tree-retention maintenance specifics would be considered when staff drafts the code amendment to clarify applicability. Staff also noted the processing change for subdivisions was based on legal counsel guidance about state statute and that staff will implement administrative processing for the pending application.
