Board approves new AP textbooks and adds AP Business/Personal Finance and AP African American Studies

"All 3 courses have been vetted and approved through the curriculum council, and the selected materials are the recommended text from the college board," the curriculum presenter said. The requested materials include hard-copy textbooks, digital access and teacher resources; the board requested copies of the materials for review and staff said copies could be provided.
The board approved the adoption by voice vote. The change adds AP Business and Personal Finance and AP African American Studies and reinstates AP Comparative Government and Politics in the course catalog.
