District staff explained that Campus Payments, the payments module of Infinite Campus, is transitioning its processing from PayRecs to a vendor called Stripe, and asked the board to approve enabling Stripe so families can make e-check and credit-card payments for fees such as dish fees, lost ID cards and Chromebook insurance.
"Infinite Campus is, however, migrating their processing, from PayRecs to a vendor called Stripe," the presenting staff member said. The board approved the request by voice vote after questions and a brief discussion of logistics.
Staff said the module is intended to be seamless for families and that Stripe charges processing fees through the vendor relationship; no direct cost to the district was reported in the presentation.
