Board reviews cooperative RFP, staff recommends Island Industrial Boiler for burner and boiler repairs

"Based on how South Huntington and participating districts utilize the bids ... this vendor does come out to be the most cost effective for ourselves and other districts," the facilities speaker said. The board approved the recommendation by voice vote.
The board framed the RFP as a multi-district cooperative purchase overseen through the county facilities consortium; no budget amount was included in the presentation and the board did not request additional competitive pricing details at the meeting.
