New Lisbon board discusses drafting setback law, debates enforcement options

Councilwoman Melaina Woodbeck questioned the value of another law without enforcement capacity, and Lenny Melillo, speaking as a resident, described roadside encroachments as a public-safety issue. The Board discussed options for enforcement, including serving as the initial enforcement authority until the town can hire a part-time Land Use Enforcement Officer; members noted hiring a constable would be more expensive.
