Board approves veteran credits, denies others for missing documentation

Under RSA 72:28-b, the Board accepted a recommendation to grant an all-veterans credit for account number 1109849 (New Dunstable Road) and voted to approve it. For a late disabled-veterans application tied to account 45462 (3 Bartimas Trail Unit 206), the Board formally accepted the late submission on grounds of accident, mistake or misfortune and approved the credit so it will appear on the 2026 bill.
Chair Charles Dobbins presented a recommended denial for account 3624212 (Deer Haven Drive), citing missing paperwork: “they did not provide a copy of the POA power of attorney and do not provide a signed p a 33,” he said. The Board voted to deny that application and to send denials by letter; staff said the letters may prompt applicants to provide the missing documents and reopen consideration.
The Board also denied two accounts for service-connected total disability where either required documentation was absent or the character of service was determined ineligible (including account 221522, Denise Street). Staff explained that if full documentation arrives in time staff may re-evaluate and the Board could revisit approvals.
