The Corning Union High School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) at its June 18, 2026, regular meeting following a presentation by incoming Superintendent John Miller.
John Miller presented the LCAP indicators using an agricultural-themed format to explain focus areas, targets, accountability measures, outcomes and recommended next steps for goals 1–3. The presentation framed how the district will measure progress on college-and-career readiness and engagement programs going into the 2026–27 school year. The board then voted to adopt the plan on a motion by Jim Bingham, seconded by Cody Lamb.
Board President Tony Turri publicly thanked CUHS Principal Jason Armstrong for his work supporting students through graduation and transition efforts during the same meeting. The LCAP approval was recorded without any opposing votes among trustees present.
