The board recommended approval of DR-2026-618, the subdivision entry monument and mailbox cluster for the Sintra (Centra) development, with modifications to how uplighting will be screened. Applicant Natalie Johnson presented daytime and night renderings and said the proposed sandstone and wrought‑iron details are intended to complement the historic Wilson Mott home on the site. "So the proposed entry monument, and mailbox cluster will have that rock, the same natural stone veneer... drawing from inspiration from the Wilson Mott Historic Home on-site," Johnson said.
Board members asked for clarity about fixture placement and screening after a night rendering showed lighting nearer the curb; Johnson confirmed the actual design will tuck and screen lighting near the sign. Barb Williams said the staff report listed illumination at 2,700 Kelvin and that the proposed lighting level is below the code maximum; the board added a site-specific condition requiring staff review of the screening and one board member review for final details. The motion to recommend approval with the clarified lighting condition passed by voice vote.
