Farmingdale approves summer markets, community events and park uses

The board approved a request from Schneider’s Farm to operate a farmer’s market on the Village Green Sundays from June 7 through November 22, 2026; the market will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The minutes also record approval for the Nassau County SPCA to use the Village Green on Sunday, May 17, 2026 for an Animal Abuse Awareness and Adoption event (village use hours 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; the actual event begins at 11:00 a.m.).
Other community uses approved at work sessions include a Scouting America Troop 51 (Troop 511) car show (expected ~100 cars) and Body Ritual Pilates free community mat classes during summer dates on the Village Green. The board also approved use of Gerngras Park for a nursery school picnic on June 3 with a rain date of June 5.
