Mayor Ralph Ekstrand opened the organizational meeting of the Board of Trustees at 8:00 p.m. on April 6, 2026 and the board approved the 2026/2027 organizational resolutions (RESOLVED #202604-04) after a motion by Trustee Walter Priestley and second by Trustee Cheryl Parisi. The measures formalize the list of appointments, the holiday schedule and the 2026–27 Board meeting schedule.
The board approved signatures for village bank accounts to be any two of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Village Clerk/Treasurer or Deputy Clerk/Treasurer and authorized the use of the Mayor’s facsimile signature for wire transfers between village accounts, board-approved wire transfers, payroll checks for the Village and Youth Council, and Youth Council expenditures listed on abstracts. The board also confirmed continued application of the Employee Manual and related policies, including the Procurement Policy, Investment Policy, ethical conduct and workplace harassment and violence policies.
