During public participation the council heard two multi‑part public comments. Dakota Myers (S9) urged the golf commission and council to adopt a promotional voucher campaign through a third‑party email vendor to attract outside rounds and promote the new clubhouse. Myers cited examples of other area courses that sold thousands of vouchers and said many vouchers are not redeemed, creating up‑front revenue. "I think it's worth a shot," Myers said, summarizing his recommendation.
Separately, Terry Vertusi (S10) and Christie (S13) described visibility and parking safety issues near a bridge and on Clisby Avenue, and reported business impacts from overflow parking and customers seeking restroom access at nearby retail businesses. Christie said the business has faced near‑misses and unwanted restroom use and asked the council to consider enforcement or options to hold property owners accountable for crowding and safety hazards. "I literally will do anything for anybody with their small business," Christie said, then outlined how the overflow from the adjacent property has negatively affected her tenants.
Council members acknowledged the safety concerns and noted ordinances being introduced to restrict parking and stopping on portions of Northern Boulevard and Clisby Avenue; staff explained signage and enforcement will be coordinated as part of the ordinance and public hearing process.
