Staff explained the new licensee ("Dan Nelly just took over the contract for Dan's backyard, RiverLink Park") will bring its own equipment and the contract changes remove an obsolete tent clause and add a concessionaire performance review after one year. Staff noted eliminating leased equipment will save about $1,500 annually. The contract also includes a termination clause allowing either party to end the agreement with proper notice.
Council members voted in favor of the consent items and authorized the contract modification; staff said the performance review will allow both parties to renegotiate or return to council if significant changes are required.
