The board accepted the low bid from Oneonta Block/Pickett’s for concrete blocks for the salt area at $4,755.14 (Butts bid $6,050.00). Councilman Brian Ryther described a demonstration of a MowerMax machine and Supt. Smith said he would consult with other highway superintendents; later Joseph Gregory asked about projected use and Supt. Smith estimated "between 300 to 400 hours per year."
