"It's a 25 hour position," staff said when members asked whether this was a part-time hire. Committee members asked if the change reinstates the lost position from earlier budget modifications; staff confirmed it would help restore capacity in assessing.
The committee voted to recommend the transfer to the town council. Staff said the department will continue to monitor workloads and report back as needed.
