In the supervisor's report Jan. 15, Colleen Lutz told the board that Columbia County filled a vacant lay‑coroner position with Peter Doty, citing his more than 30 years of EMS experience. She also said she will serve on both the county public‑safety and public‑works committees and raised residents' concerns about the Gallatin Station closure that she plans to follow up on.
Town Clerk Monica provided administrative updates and figures: a total tax warrant of approximately $3,400,000 and collection of about 25% to date. Monica also described sales of recycling stickers and processing of certified death certificate copies, and reminded residents that agricultural‑exemption renewals and senior exemptions must be submitted by March 1. The board discussed next steps but did not take immediate votes on these agenda items.
