Cityscape tells Ancram board lower tower heights would leave coverage gaps

Cityscape consultant Anthony Lepore told the Ancram Planning Board the applicant's coverage objectives required an antenna centerline of at least about 95 feet and that the submitted 80-foot option would not provide the service the applicant seeks. "The submittal at 80 feet did not adequately provide the coverage that they were trying to solve the gap for," Lepore said, adding that lower heights could create future coverage or capacity gaps requiring additional facilities.
Board members asked whether percentage estimates (for example, what percent of the coverage objective would be achieved at 80 feet) exist in the record; Cityscape said propagation maps for multiple heights were submitted and that staff would provide additional map files for the next meeting. The board instructed consultants to supply that technical information so members can weigh visual impacts against coverage trade-offs.
