Staff reported that the Pathways Trails Parks Recreation Open Space Master Plan planning process "is just kicked off on April 29," and said the consultant team will meet in person at the first joint meeting with the city council.
The staff member said a SharePoint contact list and a smaller advisory work group have been created to keep the process focused. "We have the advisory work group, which will be a more specific advisory group of some of the key stakeholders that will meet 3 to 4 times," the staff member said. Committee members asked about the distinction between a large stakeholder list and a core team; staff said the broader contact list exists but the advisory work group will be the primary convening body.
Committee members asked for clarity about how stakeholder input will be solicited and whether planning outputs will run in parallel with other land proposals. Staff said the project advisory team — a staff-led group that includes department heads for recreation, public works and planning — will conduct regular biweekly coordination meetings and report back to the committee.
