The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Quality committee reviewed its March 18 meeting during the March 26 board meeting. Board Member Joni Johnson said the committee had four items completed and two outstanding items that include communication work with Cerner platforms and pharmaceutical topics.
Johnson noted that sterile processing and decontamination areas are consistently being improved with suggestions from a state visitor with infection-control expertise, and that strategic planning and data-collection measures have room for improvement compared with national critical access hospital quality assessment expectations.
