Supervisor Edward Lentz presented a chart showing the town had received $1,017,700.00 in grants and $1,955,141.00 in CHIPS funds since 2018. Councilwoman Nancy Martin-Mathewson reported the town received a $10,000 NYSERDA grant and plans to seek estimates for heat pumps at town hall.
The Susquehanna SPCA passed inspection as the town's dog shelter but notified the town it will begin charging an annual fee in 2025; based on population, the projected fee for New Lisbon would be about $2,500.00. The board said it will evaluate shelter-service options given the additional cost.
