CEI team flags family engagement gaps; board hears strategies to boost participation

They identified root causes—language barriers, scheduling conflicts, events not perceived as welcoming—and proposed four primary drivers for improvement: effective communication, culturally responsive engagement, family-friendly events and meaningful involvement.
The CEI team shared possible "change ideas" including a bilingual communication plan, a back-to-school BBQ, a phone call outreach effort and creation of a Spring Mountain Family Alliance. Board member Jim Bingham suggested providing a family pack at games and events; Principal Armstrong agreed to note the suggestion for future planning. The board asked staff to continue developing strategies and return with implementation steps.
