The New Lisbon Town Board on Sept. 24 voted to adopt the revised 2025 Tentative Budget as the 2025 Preliminary Budget and set a public hearing for Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
Councilman Brian Ryther moved "to adopt the revised 2025 Tentative Budget as the 2025 Preliminary Budget and to hold a public hearing on it on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Town Hall, followed by the regular monthly meeting." The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Nancy Martin-Mathewson and carried 3 Ayes / 0 Nays. The vote tally as recorded was three affirmative votes and no opposing votes.
The Board recorded several assumptions used to build the tentative budget, including employee wage increases and a change in the town health plan. It also noted a decision to keep the tax levy increase at 2.5%, which the minutes estimate would raise about $19,525 over the 2024 budget. The Board scheduled the Oct. 8 public hearing to allow residents to review the preliminary budget and comment before final adoption.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.; Town Clerk Charlene R. Wells signed the minutes as the official record.
