Town awarded $10,000 NYSERDA grant; Board considers combining funds for Town Hall heat pumps

Councilwoman Nancy Martin‑Mathewson told the Board the town has been awarded a $10,000 grant through the NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities Program. Combined with a previous $5,000 grant, she said, the town would have $15,000 to put toward clean energy building improvements.
Supervisor Edward Lentz said he would explore whether Justice Court grant funds could be combined with the NYSERDA money to install heat pumps at the Town Hall and replace the aging heating system; Martin‑Mathewson noted that installing heat pumps would also increase the town's points toward higher levels of grant funding. Councilman Scott Fickbohm reported he has begun logging park/playground inspections and flagged repairs for the basketball court and park signage.
