Hager also presented a contract for paving, striping and concrete repair services with an amount not to exceed $149,500 covering multiple county facilities.
Commissioners asked clarifying questions. Commissioner Jacobs clarified that a capital purchase had already been approved and that the item was a reallocation of previously authorized funding. Sean Shotaka, general services, said the county reseals parking lots on roughly a five‑year cycle. The board also heard about three conservation easement purchases, including a 41‑acre easement supported by a $330,000 contribution from the Army National Guard's readiness program and a total purchase cost of $445,000 for one parcel.
These consent items will be officially voted on at the board’s upcoming work session (Aug. 10 or Aug. 24 depending on scheduling), and staff asked commissioners to raise any additional questions in advance.
