Chief Miller told council that a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover seized after an OVI/OBI arrest was forfeited to the police department and is available for disposal. He said the vehicle will be posted on govdeals.com with photos and contact information for Jason Musick (head of vehicle maintenance) to arrange inspections; Blue Book values were estimated between $7,000 and $10,000.
Chief Miller said proceeds would be deposited into the law enforcement trust fund and could be used to purchase equipment such as a replacement intoxilyzer (breath testing machine). Council moved, seconded and approved posting the vehicle for auction by unanimous voice vote.
