Jackson County supervisors approved final plat resolution 12O6‑08‑04‑2026 on Aug. 4, 2026 to record Seeverding Estate, a minor subdivision north of Bellevue that repurposes an existing Lot 11 of Sunset Ridge Estates and an adjoining Parcel G into three lots.
Zoning staff explained the proposal qualifies as a minor subdivision because it yields one additional parcel, includes no new streets or improvements, and creates no lots smaller than two gross acres. "Lot 1 contains approximately 2.98 acres. Lot 2 contains approximately 30.70 acres and combines the existing Lot 11 with adjoining land. Lot 3 contains approximately 2.12 acres," staff said on the record. Staff noted the application included proprietor and mortgage‑holder consents, a title opinion, treasurer and surveyor certifications, departmental reviews, and that the county engineer waived drainage and contour submittal requirements under the county code for plats of this size.
Staff also reported the final plat was submitted to and approved by the city of Bellevue, and that review by the state archaeologist under the county's burial mound process was completed. Based on those materials staff recommended approval; a supervisor moved, a second was recorded and the board approved the resolution by voice vote.
Note on transcript spelling: the packet and most staff remarks use the name "Seeverding Estate," but one line in the spoken record refers to "Sebring Estates." The board record and staff descriptions used the spelling "Seeverding."
