Christy Jones moved to "cover this $34.59 50 for the Tri Band antenna," the motion was seconded and commissioners voiced support with aye votes, clearing vendors to perform the work during a planned site visit next week. "There’s a substantial cost savings if we can roll that into this upcoming trip," a Redtail technician said, urging the county to authorize the combined lift and installation while crews are in the area.
Vendor representatives told the meeting the quoted console antennas are tri‑band units that would avoid future antenna swaps if the county adds other frequencies. Redtail said the two console antennas and the GTR/base radio parts arriving at the shop will let crews finish the Flaxville move, install the Tower Hill base radio and complete console testing with dispatch.
The county recorded the motion and a vote in open session; the board signaled to proceed and vendors agreed to provide schedule and cost documentation to the county attorney and commissioners before the work begins.
