City engineering staff on Dec. 18 reported multiple current job openings and near-term recruitment deadlines and said the department plans to bring an amendment to continue its on-call traffic and transportation consultant into January.
Staff said the fire chief recruitment and police recruit academy application windows close on Jan. 1. The department also listed openings for a police cadet, police sergeant, transit driver/dispatcher, police volunteer and police lateral officer positions. In addition, staff said they plan to take an amendment for the traffic and transportation on-call consultant, DKS Associates, to City Council in January to continue traffic services support for the engineering department. "Our fire chief opening closes on January 1," staff told commissioners.
