George Ijames and Leslie Ross told Council Superior Court needs to transfer funds across line items to purchase or subscribe to Liberty Recording software, upgrade remote courtroom management, and cover increased costs for court reporters and psychological evaluations.
"We're here to look at transferring funds from a 100 general series accounts to a 200 series account to cover funds for software upgrades for our audio recording equipment," Ijames said. Council approved the requested transfers after a motion and second.
Ijames said the remote software could also help manage courtroom technology at other county facilities and allow vendor remote access, reducing travel costs.
