"We confirmed that the school will be for grades 4 and 5 only and that the class sizes are around 16 to 22 students," the Presenter said. The designs under review aim to provide two SPED classrooms per grade cohort, dedicated world-language space, improved classroom storage, two teacher planning spaces (one per cohort), and a serving kitchen rather than the current warming kitchen where feasible.
Committee members pressed on bathroom ADA compliance and the viability of converting classrooms into breakout learning commons; the team said restrooms would need reprogramming to meet ADA requirements and that breakout spaces are more feasible under the deeper reconfiguration or addition options.
