Commission approves Make My Move contract; authorizes Home & Heartland grant application

"Make My Moves contract is for $108,000 for their portion...we have to pay $78,000 to Make My Move by October 1 and then the remaining $30,000 by March 1 of next year," Webb said. She described the overall program cost ($195,008.70), the county 20% match ($39,174) and an in‑kind administrative credit of $12,870 that reduces the county cash requirement to about $26,304. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved both the contract authorization (chair signature authorized) and the grant submittal.
Why it matters: the Home & Heartland/Make My Move program is intended to recruit households and support local housing and workforce goals; the county's cash and in‑kind commitments will be used as local match for state grant funding and contract payments to the nonprofit operator.
