Committee assigns research on four energy exemptions Exeter has not adopted

"So those are the 4. So none of them have been adopted by Exeter," the Chair said during the discussion. Members volunteered to split research tasks — one member took wood heating, another took electric storage, and a third agreed to handle renewable generation and utility issues — and the group set a tentative reconvening date to share findings and, if appropriate, recommend adoption or further study.
The committee emphasized local suitability (for example, limited prospects for wind) and implementation workload; members asked to gather examples from neighboring towns and statutory text so the committee could assess fiscal and operational impacts before recommending adoption.
