The current roundabout design for the Front, Linden and Pine Streets intersection was recommended by a 2022 intersection-improvement study and subsequently approved by voters at the town's 2023 meeting, the presenter said.
The presenter noted the new roundabout will be similar in size to the one in Rye at Sagamore Road and Route 1A, giving residents a local example of the finished feature. The presenter also recalled the intersection's earlier test feature, the two-year 'Town Flowerpot,' a three-foot planted circular marker removed in November 1963.
