Torrance County signs on to settlement with six remnant opioid defendants

The Commission approved the county's participation.
Barela said prior settlement funds had supported LDWI and misdemeanor compliance programs and school-based substance-abuse education; funds from the remnant-defendant settlement are required to be used for substance-abuse treatment and related services. The county's prior resolution gives the County Manager authority to execute necessary documents once participation is approved.
